Accelerator Cable Tube with Guide RollerAccelerator Cable Tube with Guide Roller Cagero Article code: GPPCSP129 893 113AC
Almost everyone owning a Beetle, Karmann Ghia (Type-14), Thing (Type-181) or Type-2 Bus (Splitscreen and Bay Window) from '66 onwards, running a Type-1 engine with dual carbs and cross bar linkage, knows the problem: More often than not the gas cable gets bent when connected to the linkage. Reason for this are badly constructed crossbar linkages, manifolds in the wrong size for the linkage and/or an aftermarket fan housing with a hole for the gas cable tube in the wrong place.
This problem can easily be solved with the Cagero accelerator cable tube and guide roller. The tube is made out of Aluminum and features a brass roller and a needle bearing on one side, a plastic abrasion protection on the other side. With that the gas cable is guided perfectly. The black anodized tube has to be mounted with a tapping screw (included) and therefor you have to drill a 3 mm hole in the fan housing.
